GET TO KNOW ME

I graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2018 with a B.S. in Psychology. I continued my education at Richmont Graduate University and received a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a certificate in Trauma Counseling in 2021. I am currently under the supervision of Dr. Nicole Thaxton, LPC, NCC, CPCS and Erin Holcomb, LPC, CPCS.

During my time at Georgia Tech, I was heavily involved in research in the Visual Language Lab, was a member of the marching band, and worked at the Campus Recreation Center as a Group Fitness Instructor and Student Manager over the G.I.T. FIT Programs. Each of these experiences, along with my education, shaped my passion for the brain, human development, mental wellness, physical wellness, and the power of the creative arts. I worked with children in both individual and group settings throughout high school and college and knew I wanted to continue working with children and adolescents in my future career. While I considered being a teacher, a physical therapist, and an occupational therapist, I always knew that I wanted to help and support others.

As a psychotherapist, I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults from different cultural backgrounds, both in group and individual sessions. I have experience working with individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, OCD, intrusive negative thoughts and self-talk, healthy relationships, self-esteem, body image, and adjusting to change and transitions. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including trauma-focused, person-centered, psychodynamic, mindfulness, CBT, DBT, EMDR, expressive arts and play, attachment-based, and IFS therapies. I am HAES (Health at Every Size) and LGBTQ+ affirming.

Outside of the counseling room, I work with individuals and small groups as a Personal Trainer and Registered Yoga Teacher. I have extensive training in different exercise formats, including dance, TRX, strength training, yoga, Pilates, and indoor cycling, and have a passion for working with individuals to find a wellness plan that works for them and that they enjoy! In my free time, you can find me at the dog park with my dog, Soto, reading a good book at the local coffee shops, or trying new restaurants around town with friends.

I truly believe in holistic wellness and adjust to the needs of the individual. Let’s connect and find out how I can best support you! Thank you for considering me to be a part of your journey.

MISSION & PURPOSE

My mission is to provide individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities with the knowledge, skills, and support they need, whether they are trying to grow mentally or physically.
